My first Tahoe picked up yesterday. Front HVAC control knob only works at 5 (max). Nothing 1-4. Gotta be the switch. Anyone have similar issues? If so, tips for removal? Ty.

Gently pry bezel off dash, put shifter in low to complete removal. Remove two small 8mm (mine were missing) bolts, press in two tabs on each side and pull electrical connectors.

Blower fix

I had the same issue with my 2002. It is the resistor that is located under the passenger side dash by the blower motor. 15 minute fix with $25 part. The resistor corrodes out due to moisture.

Lemme check that out,...ty. Looking forward to becoming as familiar with these as I was the 8 Blazers I owned. I'm a BIG fan of "go with what you know," so you KNOW what my daughter is driving, lol....

Moisture inside the Tahoe or on the firewall on the engine side? You cited under the passenger side dash.

Moisture inside the truck, it is located below the glove box. It does not take a lot of moisture over many years to corrode small electrical connections.
