This is what I'm thinking too. Bought a thermostat and haven't put it in yet... we're snowed in. I'm glad to be on the same page with other folks on the forum. Thanks for the post "R" -ACM
Morning Update
Drove the lil' Tahito a mile or so this morning to drop our crum-cruncher off at school.
Here's what happened... the temp gauge read about 120 degrees when I got to the school where I cut it off for 5 min. or so for the delivery.
On restart, the temp gauge pegged above 260...
During a normal warm-up, my Temp Gauge jumps right up to pegged when it passes an indicated 168 degrees. She just shoots off the chart way above 260 and stays there. Funny thing is... it doesn't seem hot. Seen it hot before too... my wife drives this one.
This is a '98 LS (192,000+ miles)...

Have you heard of or used and can you recommend this enzyme for the treating of a plastic tank?
Here's what they say... if they do say so themselves, mind you.
Thanks,

I was worried... but the Haynes has been decent.
Of the 2 main ones, Haynes and Chilton has there been a good chaw over which one's better?
All things being relative, that is.
First... thanks to all who have helped thus far. This is another question in the continuing saga of our "Little Tahito".
reading the fuel pump installation directions... one thing mentioned is a cleaning of the fuel tank w/ a picture of a small can of something yer to put in it. checked for...
well thank you now for confirming my suspicions...
does anyone know where to get a good tool for the "quick connect" fuel lines? i understand the best way is to cut the lines on the pump side to get the tank down, then it makes for an easier extraction, if you have the tool, that is.
saw apost about the stalling problem going on.
I've got my 'hoe up on blocks and have been throwin parts at her like there was no tomorrow. Seems like a fuel pump... but here's the deal. Wife calls, stuck on the side of the road, "tahoe starts an' runs a bit but won't go"... when I get...
