It normally happens after I've shut the truck off for awhile and restart it. It will not work on any speed. It just comes on when it wants....30 seconds or 10 minutes.
It is 7 degrees out today, I'll wait a few days to work on it!!
My 97 does the same thing on #3 plug........mine has a white ashy fluffy deposit and I get a P0303 code (misfire cyl.3) sometimes at idle.

What year? I used a stock replacement last month ago. The double roller chains will hit the plastic timing cover. My stock type chain was good for 155k miles, it should outlast the rest of the truck !!!
