I have a 1997 Yukon and the blower occasionally stops working. It will start working when it wants.

Any suggestions?

Does it quit on all speeds? Check the terminal on the blower (usually a purple wire), check the switch (the switch likes to burn up at the connector...)

It normally happens after I've shut the truck off for awhile and restart it. It will not work on any speed. It just comes on when it wants....30 seconds or 10 minutes.

It is 7 degrees out today, I'll wait a few days to work on it!!

Check the wire harness behind the blower control panel. I had this problem several years ago. Had replaced the switch the times then finally started looking deeper after the third new switch didn't work. There had been a short at someone a few inches from the plug itself. Got a replacement plug (vehicle side) from dealer for about $50 it came with about 8 inches of wire for each terminal. I spliced it in, haven't had the problem since

Why buy the whole control when you can buy just the switch???
