more investigation just did some more investigation. Turned the throttle screw to make the volts read .6 with ignition on not running and wot closer to 4.5, drove around a lot and the light has not come back on! Not sure if this is the 100% fix but I feel better. The shutter has gone away...

Thank you for the reply. I do have a code reader and superchip that I use to clear the codes, and then do a test run, the code comes right back. The link you posted is the exact site I found to do the testing, great site!! I am sure there is just an electric issue on one of the sensors...

Just put a new battery in, still have this cel for p0122.

Intake manifold gasket leak, I just had the same issue with p0306, Coolant leaks into the chamber and causes a misfire. Not saying its what is wrong but it is very common with this motor. If your ashy buildup is brown/orangish or a shade of the coolant you are running I would start looking...
