I have an odd question... I need to replace my rear shocks on a lifted Tahoe, how do I know what length of shocks to get? Do I go with ones that have the greatest amount of extended and collapsed length?
Shock boots are normally on the bottom end of the shock. So I believe those are on upside down. Ill take some pictures of mine so you can see the difference.
I do this all of the time... Good tip to share though. Im sure not a lot of people take that into consideration. I know that a true oil change is never done if you take it somewhere either, its kinda hard to drain it completely if all 4 wheels are up in the air
If you look here I have removed the panels along the side of my Tahoe. Super easy to do, but be careful though. I used acetone to remove the glue and used one of those plastic spackle tools to ease along between the body and the strip while removing the panels.
All of those are great tips for increasing gas mileage. I also dump a half bottle of Sea Foam in the tank every other time I fill it. It increased the life of my tanks about 20-30 miles.
Has anyone messed with the wiring harness? I had a 94 Suburban where the previous owner tapped into the harness for trailer lights. I had a similar issue. I replaced the harness the runs under the rear bumper to the lights and it was fixed.

Followed the wires, no pinch wires. Pulled the transfer case fuse and tapped on the TCCM with a screw driver, put the fuse back in and the service light stayed off. I even cycled OFF/RUN a few times and it didnt come back on. Should I replace the TCCM and the push button switch? When I press 4HI...
