On my 99 2 door tahoe i have the chrome/black strip running along side of the bottom of my truck, since the chrome and the tahoe emblem as faded out i been thinking about stripping it off and putting the new "GM Tahoe" emblem on the door not the chrome strip and maybe even do the same to the tailgate. Just an idea i had but not sure how it will look, Seeing what you guys think about it...

Have you thought about just buffing the chrome that's there (getting rid of the remainder of the black) ? I saw this done in a video, and it looked pretty sharp when the guy was done. Failing that, the smaller logo would look good as well, imho.

If you look here I have removed the panels along the side of my Tahoe. Super easy to do, but be careful though. I used acetone to remove the glue and used one of those plastic spackle tools to ease along between the body and the strip while removing the panels.
