has anyone of you installed a steering damper ? does it make a difference if the tahoe is 99.9% run on streets ? what products are recommendable ?

i have a similar problem. my 2000 tahoe needs several tries before it will start if the tank is only 1/4 full. however, i'll be able to drive at lease 80 miles with what is left in the tank. and yes, the car needs to stand absolutely level. otherwise it will not start if the tank is at 1/4...

2000 tahoe with 57'000 miles i once owned an audi 80 (audi fox in the states) with a 4 cylinder 1.6liter engine. due to rust i had to get rid of it. it had 270'000 miles on it ! never rebuilt the engine. just hat to change the clutch once at 150'000 miles.

yes. but not with your speed limits.... ;-) second gear is good for almost 65mph but then there are 4 more gears ....

yes switzerland.... nice country but sometimes a bit too small for a tahoe. most parking lots are not large enough. some parkings are not tall enough. heck, even some roads are not wide enough. fuel is expensive but.... how about : $5.50 for a big mac ? $2.50 for 1.5 liter of sprite or...

thanks for your reply. i'm not aware of any company over here which offers custom tuning. it is hard enough to find a garage which does ordinary services such as oil changes and stuff.

hello one more question. upgrading to hid seems to make sense. unfortunately it is impossible over here to get any kits. ebay seems to be the only way to get a hid kit. but how do i know if a kit is really working and worth the price ? what brands or sellers or kits in current auctions...
