I've lurked a lot on these forums and appreciate the help that I have received. Have an '02 Tahoe. Replaced rear shocks about 3 years ago with Arnott re-manufactured GMs. Installed new GM compressor at the same time. Fast forward two years - GM shocks are all dry rot. Arnott agrees to replace them under warranty, but this time I ask for the Bilsteins (air model - not passive). They send these to me and I install. GM compressor is shot again, so I order an Arnott replacement.

Here is where I am confused - drove around for four days with Bilsteins on and a broken GM compressor. No error codes. Replaced the GM compressor with the new Arnott compressor this weekend, and now I get "Service Ride Control" message once the vehicle starts moving. I verified the shocks are inflating, and am not finding any leaks.

Why would I get errors codes AFTER I replace the compressor? If there was a problem with the shocks, wouldn't it have shown with the GM compressor?
