My 99 Tahoe has had this problem since winter. It won't start after it snows, rains, or when the air is just moist. This is extremely frustrating as you can imagine. My dad and I poured cups of water into the engine compartment directly on wires while it was running. We hoped it would short out. It didn't. The shop I took it to hosed down the engine while running and were unable to recreate the issue. They wanted 700+ for full tune up with no guarantee to fix the issue. No thanks, I might sell it soon.

Anyone have this issue? Where should I direct my attention?

check your cap and rotor for any cracks or carbon tracks. $700 for a tune-up, that's nuts.

Cranks over but won't start?

I would check the FP relay and surrounding wires first,Then the crankshaft sensor harness just wiggle the wires(these were known to cause problems) the dealership should still stock these for less than $100. Read this here

Mine did the same thing after driving in the rain, I assumed it was a starter issue. I turn the ignition multiple times real quick then it fired right up.

I had the same issue. Replace the cap and rotor. Moisture likes to work it way in there and cause corrosion. Last one only lasted 2 years.
