Forgive me if this post is not in the right section.

so since i got my tahoe the rear doors and lift gate fuse would short periodically, i would change it and all would be good for a while....not so much this time.

yesterday i had all the windows down, when i went to put them up all would go up except the passenger rear window, thought maybe the motor was shorting out. Then i saw that the rear doors and lift gate weren't working again...ok the fuse. i replaced the fuse and tried to unlock/lock the doors, it locked the doors and then blew again. i replace the fuse one more time and then it shorted out and sparked as soon as i touched the unlock button...leads me to believe i have a problem with a ground somewhere now too. Problem....with everything being power everything i have no clue where to even begin to look, any suggestions
Thanks

First make sure it has the right size fuse it. Then go from there. Does it only blow from driver door panel or does it blow also from THAT door unlock function?

yes i am sure it has the right size fuse. I think i have two different problems, im not overly convinced they are related. The fuse problem is causing the rear doors and lift gate to not work (unlock) and when i hit the unlock on the drivers door panel the fuse will blow instantly which is why i think that is a ground issue somewhere. the rear passenger window issue i think might be the motor, all the other windows will still go up and down..

There is wiring coming from the drivers side door through a rubber tube I would check to make sure none of those wires are broken and maybe touching

Any time I want
The wiring from the driver door is a class 2 serial data circuit that supplies information to the body control module, the body control module controls the lock, unlock relays (that are on the same fuse panel of the 20amp door lock fuse) through the ground side of control circuit of the relays.. so what you want to do is pay attention to when the fuse actually blows,, is it when you lock it or unlock it.. get me that information and ill see if i can point you in the right direction... also once your able to determine whether its lock or unlock that the fuse blows swap out the relays there the black ones that are next to each other you can look at the i/p fuse block cover and there labeled lock and unlock and if it reverses form the original time the fuse blows meaning if originally the fuse blows when unlocking and is now blowing when you lock it chances are you have a relay internally shorting out most likely the original unlock relay because as per example it would blow only on unlock,, try that and if the relay swap doesnt take care of it again make note of when it does blow the fuse and ill see if i can lead you in the right direction.. hope that makes sense and not to confusing
