Wipers, Cruise, Turn Signals

Gents, I hope you can help me with the official name of the switch/switching items in my turn signal lever. My wipers work at odd intervals, operate by themselves at times... my turn signals blink fast and then slow at the next corner.. Sometimes when it really acts up , I swear I smell a burning FR4 smell, but cant locate it.
Anyway, any thoughts on this? Something is going, or about to go.
It's worse when its rainy outside.

Hey, treepete, my `90 Chev S-10 Blazer did the same thing. The problem was in the 'Stalk' switches, that clump of madness at the end of the turn signal lever...

You need a new multi switch

the "multi switch"... is that the official name?

Also, is there some sort of instruction about it anywhere?
