Windsheild Wiper problems

I can tap on wires going inside motor or the motor itself and they work, when I let go to close hood they stop Quit! what ya think..(short) ?? any suggestions??

Welcome to the neighborhood!

It sounds like the wiring has a broken wire in it, I would look for a pinched section of wiring, etc and make sure the wiring isn't damaged. You may be able to take it to autozone and borrow a wiring tester in an attempt to find the break in the wiring so that you can splice and repair it.
