Okay, so on September 14th 2008 I ordered these puppies from AutoAnything. On September 16th they ran my credit card for $2330.51. Today is October 5th and Baer is yet to have my brakes to ship out to me. I would like to say AutoAnything was a bit difficult to get a hold of at first, but last week I finally got them to cancel the charge on my card since AmEx prefers you pay your bill as you go and my date to pay is the 5th of every month. So in essence, I had to pay the money to AmEx without even having a ship date or confirmation that the item was to be sent to me. The AutoAnything rep called me today and she expressed that they are still waiting on Baer so that they can tell me when these items will be shipped out. I really want these, for selfish personal reasons, I am convinced they will diminish the warping of rotors. Do you guys think I should cancel these damn things or what? Has anyone ever ordered something like this and taken this long to get the parts to you?

The brake kits, along with these (this transaction took ALL of 5 business days from ordering to arriving at my door might I add) have tapped into my LED tail light fund and the wife won't let me spend more money on the Yukon for now. Just frustrated I guess but has anyone really had any issues with ordering big parts like this? This is going to be the absolute FIRST mod on the Yukon since I bought it. I am a newbie to modifying. Am I worried over something that isn't such a big deal? Is this the norm?????

They should have given you a heads up that the parts were backordered. I've ordered tons of stuff from autoanything and summitracing and I've never had any problems. If you really feel that bad about it you should cancel your order or have then give you a better time frame.

In your past experiences, have you ever had to wait this long for an item? I mean, that's what I really want to know, is it normal to wait this long? I know that I got the bargain basement big brake kits. I guess I just don't have any experience at all in ordering anything as far as auto parts go and the wife is starting to change her mind about purchasing these things cause I have to get new tires too, and that is going to be another grand.

Given the overwhelming response and info shared with me in regards to this matter, it made life easy, I would like to thank everyone out there for this much needed input and significant amount of responses to a simple question.

I did however, get a ship date for my brakes from AutoAnything and that date is October 8th, 2008. I have my brakelines in hand and now on to order my tires, by this time next week I hope to be able to go from 70 to 0 in exactly one dime.
