Ok guys I am thinking about selling the Tahoe... I am looking for some advise on what I price I should sell ask for her. I figured I would go to the place that I spend most of my free time for advise. You guys know the product and I truly value your opinions. Not to mention half the mod I have I got the idea here.

Ok.. I have an LT2 that has the Nav, Sunroof, and Tan Leather. The sticker on the Tahoe was $46,500.00. I have all the mods that I have done and pics of the truck on the Cardomain link below. Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks ahead of time guys.

Oh we are looking at picking up a Mercedes GL450... I know it is a yuppie ride but some of them look sweat when they are done right. Not to mention it is what the Boss wants...she rules the house you know...

Id think a bit about the GL. My mother had a Mercedes ML one time......when it ran it was a lovely car......but that was on the rare occasion that it did indeed run. Why are you ditching the tahoe?

I had a 2003 Tahoe that I loved.... it was a 4x4 LT fully loaded i had the full Escalade Kit and 24" TIS wheel and I never had a problem, it was stolen by some a-hole last Oct. I had just paid off that Tahoe so the insurance company pay out was really good. I bought the new Tahoe and it is almost paid off already. I have just had so many probs with the 07. The Oil Pump went out about 3 months ago and it has been to the dealer 3 other times for little things but it is really annoying to deal with. The truck is at the dealer now for a check engine light and the remote start is cutting out. It also has rattle in the door. I am just over it.

I am trying to talk my fiance into the Porsche Keyane, Range Rover Sport, or an Escalade. She really wants the mercedes GL or the R....We just got engaged and she does not want to drive the Tahoe when we have kids. I get to pick the car when the lease is up on her C23O...Not sure what I would get.

yea, im afraid the gmt 900's were not as well planned out as the gmt 800s, 37k and no issues what so ever. 99 suburban almost 210k and no real issues, basic matanence and a starter, or fuel pump, cant remember it was almost 2 4 years ago i did that, even though i only traded it about a year and a half ago. i can tell you about all my chevys and no issues, and all the gmt 900s are telling me is stick to the gmt 800's and back im afraid.

I'm surprise you are selling your Tahoe but if you're gonna get the GL450, trust me as a MB owner they are great vehicles. Why not the GL550

I love both of the GMT 800's we've got, but I'm starting to question myself about buying that 08 LTZ that I've been waiting to buy for a couple months. My wife's 07 Tahoe is still at the dealer for the check engine light. They have fixed what was making the light come on, but they told me that the remote start is not functioning correctly, something I hadn't even noticed.

The '07 Tahoe has been in the shop for 5 days in the less than 30 that we've had it. I might be leaning towards that silver Range Rover Sport now...but I'm still torn, because that is going to run me near $64k to get it the way I want it, the LTZ would be a lot cheaper... who knows!

If your annoyed with being in the shop alot (which anyone should be with a new truck) dont get a Range Rover you will be in there even more, and end up paying alot more too. What ever you end up doing though, good luck.

Hey, the Mercedes GL won suv of the year last year, beating out the Tahoe I might add, so there must be something good. I'd still go with the Cayenne first as it looks MUCH better visually. Sorry you had so many problems with your Tahoe, you must have gotten a slightly sour one...

I'm not sure what you should ask but depending on how long you've owned the Tahoe, you could lose anywhere from $4k on up. We had our 07 Tahoe for about 18 months and then traded it in on the 07 Suburban. We took a hit of about $5k due to the depreciation of the vehicle. Of course there are the usual variables: your local market, if you sell it privately vs. trade-in, etc., but you will get less than you think (at least that was our experience).

Check KBB or Black Book or Manheim (if you have access to the auction sites) to get an idea. Also check out cars.com or ebay to see what people are asking. When we traded in our Tahoe I watched some ebay auctions for a few weeks, most of them didn't make the reserve price and didn't sell.

Good luck w/the new vehicle.

AS far as reliability, the GMT 900s are having first year issues. I know some folks who got the 2000 Suburban when it first came out. Ours was a joy to own, but MANY of them were complete disasters.

I didn't know that. I like the Range Rover and Range Rover Sports, but I don't know that I want an SUV quite that nice if I'm going to be putting 30k a year on it. Besides that, I try and stray from Ford Motor Co. I'm racking up the miles on my '04 after it being my second car and barely driving it for 3 years. I'll probably end up with an 08 LTZ, they should be getting the kinks out pretty soon.
