what hid (moded) bulb to use for 07 foglights

what hid bulb can i use for the foglights? ive heard of people doing it with a slight mod to the bulb but dont know which bulb they used? is it the 9005? thanks

If you're referring to a Yukon, then, yes, it's a 9005. Link to my thread in my sig below... Read the whole thread (well, the first page of posts anyway).

If you're referring to a Tahoe, I think a 9005 will work, but I seem to recall some people using 880's (or was that on 2006 Hoe's)...

I just got 880"s today and its a BIG negative ghost rider, gonna try the 9005's next I guess.

9005's didnt work either...im just gona get the putco bulbs H16/9009.

I have the 6000k HID kit in the Heads, does anyone know if the White or blue bulbs would be the closest match? The 6000k's are mostly white with the blue tint.

Not sure what you might be doing...but...

...Read the thread in my sig link. On a GMT900 Yukon, if you're wanting to use 9005 HID bulbs in the fogs, you have to grind down the collar of the bulb to fit into the socket opening of the fog housing. You also have to change the connector on the wire to a female 9005.

Thanks, thats a little more customizing then i was hopin for. The guy at my local rhino linings said the putco bulbs are plug n play. Thanks for your help though.
