Hey Gang,

Awesome forum here! I've got a question I'll throw out to everyone:

When you upgraded wheels on your ride, what did you do with your old wheels? I've got a set of 17" stock GMC wheels that don't have one mark on them along with tires only have about 5000 to 7500 miles left on them.

Did you sell them? If so, how much did you get for 'em?

Thanks,

I still have mine, but when I get some 20's, the stockers are going to go in a corner of the garage... stockers aren't worth much... you'd be lucky to get $200 (if not much less) from them. If you keep 'em, you can throw 'em on when / if you sell the Yuk down the road... and throw the nicer ones on the next one.

Why so cheap. When I bought my truck the wheels were a 1900 dollar option??? :confused2:

But i would keep them, that way if you live in a snowy area you can throw some nice winter tires on them and swap them from summer to winter.

I was thinking $500 to $600 for the wheels and tires. I have a guy who is interested in them because he needs to return his leased vehicle and doesn't want to turn it in with the 22's he put on.

The alternative he is faced with of turning the vehicle in with the purchased 22's would not be an option to me either. But, I wouldn't have purchased $3k in wheels for a vehicle that I didn't even own so I wouldn't have to worry about it. The dealer told him not to bring the vehicle back with a lousy set of wheels or he would be charged the retail price from parts to have all of the wheels and tires replaced. OUCH!

Thanks guys!!!

I need some take-offs for winter on mine. I need to do some serious rubbing on my 20's, the finish on them now can suck it.

I have an 03 Yukon with the stock 16's. I'd like to have some stocker 17"s or - if possible - the new tahoe 20's. Not a fan of the "dubs" thang

I kept mine. You never know what you might need the stocker's. They came in handy for me now that I have the Tahoe in the shop being painted. Don't have to worry about overspray in the 22's.

Sold my stock 17" denali wheels for less than I paid for my 20's and tires. All I had to pay for was the powdercoat.

I have stock Denali 17's they are painted black that I tried to put on instead of my twenty two's for the winter, But they don't fit with the big brake kit and drop spindles so if anyone has any 18's that they don't want let me know. If someone wants my seventeens let me know.
