Yep the title says it all. heres a picture of what i took off. lol.. leaving just the cat. ill give it a couple days before i put the rest of the exhaust back on, i just wanted to see the loudness compared to my bro's 2003 Silverado 5.3Litre Vortec with the aluminum heads and junk. We both took the muffler back off. and his is 2 times louder then mine. kinda weird .4 liter difference and his is louder..

It's not always about size. He is probably pushing more compression and has a more aggressive cam. That is where the volume comes from. Plus the performance heads with more flow will make a lot of volume. That video is with no muffler? Sounds awfully quiet...

yea. No muffler... Its the ypipe to cat to nothing.. right after cat is nothing.. no turndown nothing.. Heres a question.. should i put a turndown on it or does it not matter. When i drove around for maybe 10 min. i noticed the back shock was hotter then the other one (right was hotter then left since the exhaust pipe was 3 feet away).. is this a concern or no?? i was trying to make a turn down but didnt have time today.. is it necessary for it??
