Hey guys, i'm replacing my leaky water pump tonight. Anything special with these? I have done many others over the years, but just wondering if there is anything different that needs to be looked out for on my 99 denali 5.7??

the one tricky part might be the removal of the fan. they tend to be on there pretty good. if you have access to an air chissel, put the chissel on the leading edge and give it a jolt, works every time. im sure this may work with a hammer and chissel , butthe air type has worked best for me, even when the actual tool for the fan removal hasnt. now, if you've done pumps in the past this is no different. same as an older chevy v8 just has another bypass hose on the top. good luck, post your findings when finished.

taking the fan off isn't to bad, big adjustable wrench and a craftsman or other high quality flathead screw driver. (hold the pulley in place by sticking the screw driver between 2 of the pully bolts and the fan clutch shaft)
