Voltage Gauge???

Any1 having problems with their volts gauge dropping down 10-12???? Checked battery(it's ok) Checked Altenator(it's ok) Any direction I should move towards next???? It's a 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT

You should be reading around 14 v on the gauge. if not you should double check the charging system since it's only reading 10/12 your alternator might be on its way out the door or you could check the wires for corrosion or loose conections

try doing the big 3. the 10-8 guage wire that goes to the alternator isnt very inept considering 135 amps needs atleast 4 gauge.

btw yea if your not reading 14 then its the alternator. just watch that though youll get a dead battery fast.
