What's up gentz, new to the boards. Just picked up a 08 Tahoe and it's coming in on Monday. Just ordered the Racemesh Grill, thanks to all the help on this board :) Just wanted some input about this, cause my boy had it in his 07 Silverado and it did it's job. I come from bmw and mercedes cars, so I am still learning things, but glad to join group. Thanks!

Volant Intake - Schwing!

Plenty of folks have gone Volant on intakes -- including me on my 6.2L Yukon XL Denali. I LOVE it! Search around here -- lots of input / comments on Volant... Congrats on the new ride -- post some pics when you get the grille and stuff!!!

Did you purchase RAM AIR SCOOP ? I got everything for 4 bills even off ebay. I am out here in Irvine, CA so the place was also in Irvine. Worked out both ways. Yea, most of the reviews sound legit. Does installing this, ruin your warranty? Also, Like I said before, new to SUVS, do dealerships install this for you? Thank for the quick response, much appreciated! Pictures will be up in maybe end of this month since, I ordered the grill, etc. Get it all done at once :)

Last time I spoke w/ Volant they did not have a scoop for the 15253 intake kit I required for my 6.2L in the Denali. If you have another engine with another kit, perhaps the they do have a scoop that works. I would have gotten one if they made one -- only thing I have to say about the lower scoop is don't drive through standing water if you get it!!!

Installation is super simple -- not being particularly mechanically inclined, I was a little nervous. Now, it's no big deal and I can remove and reinstall it in 10 minutes. I'd plan on 30-45 minutes for a first-time install to check things out and take your time.

Warranty is no problem. Doesn't void your warranty. However, if you somehow mess something up while installing it like I managed to do, you might wind up paying a diagnostic fee for your dealer to tell you what's wrong. Read my little story over here. Another note on installation is over here -- not sure how applicable it will be on your new truck.

Dear Vishal Kuber,

The following AutoAnything order item(s) have/has shipped:

Product: Volant PowerCore Replacement Air Filter (Quantity: 1)

IF anyone was still looking for the PowerCore Air Filter, I just got an email maybe 10 minutes ago that it has been sent out. I know some people on the boards were talking about how it was back ordered till late October. Hope this helps!

Thanks Vishal! Did you install the Volant with the standard cone filter? I'm wondering if you can compare the standard filter with the PowerCore, before my wallet becomes $100.00 lighter. ;)

Wed my baby comes in, and on Thur, I took the day off, to work on the bad boy :) .. give me till maybe Sat to let you know. And also, if anyone wants to buy the filter that comes with the Volant, let me know, since I won't be needing it.

I'm undecided between the Volant, TrueFlow, and AEM
