Hi folks,
New to the forum so here's goes my first post; our friend's '07 Burb's rear windows go all the way down while our '08 Tahoe's only go down 1/2 way. Do Yukons and Escalades rear windows have the same limited travel?

Any one know if there is a stop in the track that could be removed to allow full travel? It appears both Chevy vehicles have the same door and interior trim so I can't imagine GM would have engineered a totally different power window assembly.

Anyone know for sure?

Thank you

This is because the rear door on the Yukon/Escalade/Tahoe is different than the Suburban, Yukon XL and Escalade ESV.

On yours, the door arches over the rear wheel, so there's only so far down into the door that the window can travel. On the longer models this is not an issue. ;-)

Yeah, physical impossibility. I did read a thread on another forum I think where a guy said another guy actually had glass cut on the rear 3/4 vertically, and made the rear-most 1/4 stationary so the front 3/4 could go down all the way. Had new seal trim made and everything. He said they cut the factory glass, but everyone else said there was no way they cut the tempered glass (it would shatter). Must've been new glass, I imagine. Anyway, definitely sounds like more trouble than it's worth.
