two silicon covered holes on inside door

On my drivers door, when you open it and look between the outside handle and door panel, right above and below the texas sticker, there are two silicon covered holes. Anyone have any idea what that is?

It could be an entry point for a paintless dent repair done to your truck as some point, but usually they would go down from the window glass area on a door. my best guess...

That makes sense. It's an amazing job I that's the case. I have also thought it could be some sort of rust preventer, but it's only on the drivers door. Thanks for the input.
