My normal operating temp is about 140 and sometimes goes to 150. Is that about right?

From what I understand, every 10 degrees is about 10K off the life of your tranny. I have installed T coolers on most of my cars cause im anal about how my transmission feels and shifts..question:

does the tahoe have one OEM? If not, is it worth it to put one on for $60?

thanks,

Those temps are perfectly ok. I had an 05 GTO with an A4 that ran mid 11's, and after the trip to the track and a few 1/4 mile passes it was around 185 with a cooler and I had no issues at all. Your temps are ok.....you really dont need a cooler. DIC would have told you if you were in trouble zone.
If your vehicle has a trailer pkg a cooler should be there.

ive found that normal temps are usually double wat the outside temps are. but anything up to about 180 is safe...i beleive anything higher and you might see problems.

dont they already come with one stock?
