Might try putting the sensors in a Ziploc bag and put in the cavernous console. Maybe the service dept can turn it off, not sure.

let us know if you find out. i have 22" and no tps sensors anymore. i tried to get discount tire to install them but they are out of stock on them. I heard even if you have them installed on larger than oem rims that you have to have the dealer reprogram for larger wheels....not sure about this..just read it somewhere on here.
I had 22" put on my Tahoe a few weeks ago and discount tires put on my TPMS on them. I took it to the dealer to get the computer recalibrated but they told me they had to call GM and download a software to it and it would take around 2 hours. The price they gave me was around $250. I asked around and some tire places told me the diameter of the new wheel/tires are about the same as the stock, just a slight difference in diameter.

just to be clear...the new wheels with tpms did not work without being recalibrated by the dealer... and if so how much did they charge you?

if any of you guys live around riverside ca. i will reprogram your tpms for $20it takes 1 minute and i can do any size . the dealer just doesnt want to do it probably for warranty reasons ..i have 24 on my tahoe and the factory tpms works perfect
I ask discount tires if they had the gadget to reprogram the TPMS to recognize the new wheels or relearn the new tire position and they said yes. 30 minutes later after they had installed the stock TPMS the little light was gone and the it recognize the tire pressure in each tire. I went home and check each one and the tire pressure was accurate to the DIC. The only reason you would recalibrate the computer is so it can update the Stability Control, Speedometer, and ABS brake system...... if Im wrong let me know... Discount Tires charge me $8 to install the TMPS and $10 to unmount and mount the tires (each).....

I have 24's and the they put my sensors back in...i'm pretty sure the dealership can get you back up and runnin
When i installed my 24's i bought new TPMS at the local Cadillac dealer ($40 a piece) put my wheels on went back to Caddy to have them re-flash the system. They charged me $16 to re-calibrate the TPMS. Worked perfectly!
SO i have the OEM TPMS on the stock 20's and a set on the 24's! So i will never have a light on if i have to switch wheels.

Seriously tho the truck will interogate any TPMSs that are coded for your truck whether or not they're in the wheels if they're in range. :yesnod:
