I thought it a good idea to start another thread on "Touch My Truck". This is increasingly giving me heartburn. I have even started parking my Yukon in never land just so I would not have to deal with the asses that are in the cities when I go shopping.

This doesn't just apply to my Yuk but what do you do to keep the inconsiderate bastards at bay. You know the ones.

They think they can squeeze their tin can of a car between my truck and the cart return.

Worse the jerks that leave their carts in the lot instead of putting them in a cart return cause they can't walk their "Skinny" ass over to the return. Just nicely positioned so that a small gust of wind pushes the cart right into my Yuk.

How do you handle these situations? Now some of you talk big, have you ever gone postal on some one in a public lot because they did what ever and touched your truck.

"News at 11, A man in his late 30's shot a woman and her boy friend after a altercation broke out from a note the couple left on the mans windshield." " This is Suzie Reporter at the jail waiting to hear from the man. Here he come now" Inaudible "Some Beeeeep touch my beeep truck again and I beeeeping kill you. Adn keep that Fbeeping whobeep away from my truck with her cart" "Well, Chris Pain, this is Suzie Reporter live at the jail house. I'll keep you updated.":mad2:

in my 06 i would park in the grass up on the curve, carts cant jump and people will not park next to me (got a few tickets, but better than haveing a heart attack when my truck got dinged)

in the new one i will probably just park far away and not near any cars or cart returs, with a median on one side of the truck, so two sides are not exposed , leaveing only a 50% chance of a ding insted of a 100%

Ugh, I have had a mother let her kid almost open the car door into mine and I just said "Ok, darlin, do me a favor and control your rotten little WELP so that I dont have to ding your child with my door....k?"

lol. JAG I know how you feel. As a dad I'm constantly saying, "Wait I'll get your door hold on."

The problem is there are just too many scum bags out there that could care less about anyone else’s property. Hey they don’t care about their own vehicle so you know they aren’t going to give a crap about yours. And there are also the jealous people that do things on spite, people can’t take it when someone has something nicer then they will ever have (some #&*!†keyed the hood on my car once, in a parking lot). I always try and park as far as I can from others because I know how some people are. If I see a loose cart I always grab it and put it away. I just wish more people would care about something other than themselves. :mad2:

That's all fine, but I hate it when I park a mile away and come out to see the ****tiest pos car parked an inch from my door with 100 parking spots open around it and closer to the stores. And best yet, find a ding from said car on my door! :mad2:

I park out there too, all the more certain that if someone messes it up after I was so careful I'm gonna tear him and his car up if I get the chance.

Like others, I just park on the lesser used rows on the sides and at the back. Don't at all mind the walk. I just have to say a couple years back I was putting groceries in the back seat of the Xterra when the door slammed against my head. Turns out the van parked next to me had one of the remote opening doors and the idiot woman had punched her clicker from a few cars down without taking time to see if things were clear. They weren't. Had a nice scratch on my door in addition to the bump on the head. When I showed her what had happened she just smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

Almost 20 years ago, I was sitting in my cherry 1972 BMW Bavaria, in a supermarket parking lot, reviewing account info for the store before going in (I was a sales rep for a beer distributor) when this stupid b_tch pulls into the spot in front of me, beak-to-beak. She drives forward until she bumps my bumper (I guess that was her technique for knowing how far forward she could get...until you hear metal on metal bumper strike). I look up in horror, only to see her calmly get out of her car (like she does this everyday) and start to walk to the store. I guess she didn't see that I was sitting in my drivers seat. Anyway, I get out and say, "Excuse me, but you just hit my car". She turned around, shrugged her shoulders, and walked off. I, of course, shouted a few expletives, then proceeded to kick in the entire passenger side of her car, severely caving in all the sheet metal. That got her attention allright. I drove off telling her maybe she'll be more careful next time.

I believe in getting good cardio, so I park 5.9 miles away from whatever door I am visiting and walk it out.
