Do it, do it now! Debadge it, believe me if you don't it will bother you until you do it. I used 3M adhesive remover, and plain ol' muscle :kult: to debadge.

I took off my rear GMC badge to paint it and there were no fade marks at all. Mine is also a 04 but it is a dark charcoal color. If I were you I wouldn't worry. I used an old credit card to pry it off and used gasoline to get all the adhesive off. Worked fine, couldn't even tell that anything was there.

Much better, What did you use to get the sticky stuff off?

At first i started rolling it over and trying to get it off by hand... screw that!

I picked up some of that citris goo gone stuff, worked great!!!

Although if you look at it at the right angle you can still see where the emblem was, i am going to clay bar it this weekend and hopfully all will be good

worst case, if you need to, use a polisher or buffer and hit it with some light rubbing compound then wax.

yea, im not to scared, if there is ony great thing about owning a white truck... it tends to hide a lot of imperfections. I am going to buff and was 'er up this weekend. i left the z71 badges on the sides, kinda liked 'em but i think those are gonna go too now, i dont know...

those pics i took last night, the ones i posted, showed the swirl marks really bad so now i want to buff my truck but im kinda scared on that one too... its always something

Try doing that with heating it up with a heat gun... LOL... I had so many blisters on my fingers. Then, I got smart and got GooGone... it worked, however with the larger pieces of auto moulding tape, it didn't work as well.
