I have a stock 1996 2dr tahoe and I am planning on putting new tires and wheels on and needed to now what the biggest tire size that will fit on a 15x8 wheel without scrubbing?

It depends on what size rim you want, you can get a 20" rim to fit with a small enough profile tire, but say you get an 18 inch rim, the largest tire that will fit without ANY rubbing issues would be a 255/50/18.
Ask me how I know... Not good....
