I want to get a 6" superlift on my tahoe. Are 35" tires the biggest I can fit?
I want to go as big as I can. I talked to my tire guy and hey said that if I got 17" wheels then bigger tires would be cheaper. Would i loose performance on the trails if i got 17"s? I want to get Dick Cepeks DC1s with some mud terrains.

yes. any bigger of a tire, and you're gonna need a body lift to make sure you clear them. i'm not sure about the 17"s, but i don't see why it would be that drastically cheaper. especially when running 35" tires, rims between 16" and 18" would pretty much be the same. granted, prices wont be exactly the same, but not a much of a change to where it would dent your wallet

from what i've seen the tires go up in price as you go up in rim size. my 16" rims cost more to put tires on then 15's. anything larger was more in price. it wasn't enough for me to buy a smaller rims but it was still more.

(based on Pro-Comp tire prices, get some pro-comp Xtreme Mud Terrains...)
