Hey all, I have a 2005 Z71 that need new footwear. It's got the Goodyears on it now but what are you guys and ladies running? Cooper? BFG?

I'm in NY state and mostly on the highway so I don't need a very aggressive tire.

Suggestions?

I was always a fan of Michelin and I know they seem to cost more, but I put a set on last year which are Michelin - LTX® M/S2. I know when you read all they write and their comparison test comparing them to other tires they are always going to make their tires sound better. Well, a week ago they proved themselves and what Michelin wrote I totally believe... Some idiot, changed lanes right infront of me at around 30 MPH and cut me off and I layed on the horn to let them know I was there. How can you miss a SUV in your mirror??? Can't she wasn't looking, but talking on the cell phone. Instead of continuing on she just came to a dead stop. I am telling you I slammed the brake to the floor, the anti-lock brakes kicked in and I came to a complete stop it seemed within a matter of a few feet it seemed.. Oh yeah I forgot to mention too the asphalt was wet from some rain we just had too. When she did this all that was going through my mind was "No way to avoid this one, off to the body shop it will go".

These tires may cost a few extra $$$, but after that I totally believe everything Michelin wrote because I had some close calls with the Bridgestones that came on it and they NEVER would have stopped me in that short of a distance, especially on wet asphalt.... That has me sold Michelin actually did test and everything they wrote was 100% on the money..
