Im looking at getting a throttle body spacer for my '99. Anybody have anything to say about them? Will it fit under the stock hood? Does it help much with power/mileage?

I've been wondeing about this as well. It seems like an easy bolt on modification...but yeah, does it REALLY do anything to help? does anyone have one on their vehicle? if so did it help you at all, or does it just look cool?

I have one, it gave me very little to barley noticable increase in MPG. I would spend my money on an intake instead.

Its not worth it. The way to gain power is to get more air into the combustion chamber. The more air and the better the air to fuel mixture the more combustion you will recieve. These items do nothing to add air. A intake however would allow more air in than a stock intake allowing for more air in the chamber. Most intakes however receive the majority of their gains at higher rpms such as around 4000. Not sure about you but my tahoe doesnt reach 4000 unless im towing or showing off. So it may not be worth it as much for an everyday driver.
