Hi all,
What does everyone think the max I can talk a dealer down on an 07 4X4 Tahoe? I was actually planning on getting an 08 in the spring or summer but I'm wondering if maybe I'd be better off lowballing a dealer on an 07. I'm not trading anything in, anyone think I can get them down 10k off sticker?

Thanks

With cash incentives I got $12K off MSRP on a Denali, so it can be done.

Wow 12k off, that's pretty good. I checked the Chevy website and the closest dealer that has 07's left if 37 miles away. They have 13 07's left, I wonder if that means the dealer doesn't like to make deals though. All the other ones around me only have like one or two left, none of them are the color I'm looking for. I gues saturday I'll just go see the dealer with 13 left I see what I can get. They got one for 41,000 and another for 46,000 I'm interested in. If I can get them at least 10k off sticker I might just buy now then.

I would go for the 07 as now they are desperate to unload the 07's and there is really no difference between the 2 years anyway, also try to find the salesman that has the least sales for the month by looking on the grease pen charts they have, then move in for the kill, now go get em!

Without a doubt.. and especially what he just mentioned too.. end of the this month you will get a silly amount of money off the sticker.. without a doubt you can even get 10k off the sticker as we speak.. i got mine in the middle of this month and got exactly 10k off... you definitely will benefit getting an 07 rather than an 08.. thats a fact

I'm pissed I didn't wait as car sales are down across the board and now is the time to buy as they are more willing to deal.

Don't feel to bad.. It is a trade off on what you get. I bought mine back in Aug. and used a GMS number and they had a 2,000. rebate on top of that, I got the color and options I wanted. If I bought now I could have got a 4,000 rebate vs. the 2,000. Only problem is all the dealers around here are just about out of 07 units with the big rebates very few to pick from and none in the color I would want with the right package. I almost waited and bought a 08.. Glad I didn't, would have cost me more. I looked at a 08 clone of mine at the dealer this week when I was in picking up a few things for my buddy, The same options and color was right at a $1,000 more

Check your local newspaper. Many dealers are offering end of year specials that are not listed on their web sites. This late in the year, 12-14k off sticker on an 07 is very possible. Good luck!

If you look on edmunds.com at the current rebates, you'll see that '07 Tahoe's have $4,000 off plus an additional $1,000 from Chevy. So from the start, you have $5,000. My dealer was hurting to get rid of some '07's, so they added some dealer coupons to the whole thing and gave me another $1,000 (each coupon is $250, they are given from Chevy to the dealers to help move product) Now that we are at the end of October, I'd say definitely go and see what they are willing to do. If you can go on a rainy day, even better; they will be more than willing to bargain with ya.

I got my 07 yukon that stickered at 42K for 32K. I got invoice price plus $5000 off in incentives. So $10K isn't a stretch.
