technical problems with light bulbs help

hello chevy family this my problem I bought a set a light bulbs on ebay litech 8000k 9006 80w for my truck and this morning they would not come on, due to the fact that this 1996 chevrolet tahoe have automatic running day lamp but when I use the dome override switch on the left side of the dashboard they come on what could be the problem, I also tried the original light bulbs 5000k 9006 55w to see if they work but, it had the same problem please help :umn:

Probably fried the wiring harness using those 80w bulbs.....

Time to drive to the dealer.......or parts store.

thanks for the reply but the thing is when I used the dome overrode knob on the left side of the dashboard they work fine could it be a fuse though :confused2:

Sorry about that....I mis read your post. That is a definite possibility

I'm not to familiar with those year Tahoe's but check the fuse panel and whatever fuse has to do with the lighting...check those fuses. Good luck.....I hate electrical problems.

ahh man thanks you had me worried for a minute in your opinion do you think this light bulbs are to dangerous because they were working fine for two 2 weeks until now

I wouldn't use anything higher (55w) then what the factory uses unless you upgrade the harness. I just find it kind of weird timing after you put the higher wattage bulbs in....then you have an issue like this.

ok fellas I checked the fuse on the fuse box under the hood also checked the fuse on left side of the dashboard their perfect. I was doing reasearch online and read that theirs a diode under the steering wheel or above the accelator pedal has anybody replace this diode or relay help:iq:
