Tahoe Rear Lift Gate Lock not working

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and I have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe Z71. I am having a problem with the rear lock on the lift gate / window. When I unlock the truck the window or the lift gate does not unlock. I pulled the plastic molding of and found a "motor" part # 2001736 Intiga. When I press the lock or the unlock this motor tries to move the lock but does not move it far enough to engage it. I also hear a faint wining noise when I press the lock / unlock button. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it also be a Relay problem?

Yeah sounds like a short, still under warranty? i would take it to dealer....

Over on the miles so it is out of warranty. I was hoping to fix this myself.
