I can pickup a Superchips Flashpaq 2815 for around $150. The truck has 227,000 miles and is all stock. I also don't plan on doing any modification to the truck i.e. intake, exhaust, etc. Just looking for a quick fix to improve some power as it's a dog. Drive train is in good shape and has been well taken care of.

Is it worth in getting in and messing around with an older high mileage vehicle? Thanks in advance for your responses.

You can do a lot with an older truck to perk it up without the programmer.... You can also get a tune done cheaper. Check the fuel pressure, the ignition, etc.... Stock tires? What is your gas mileage?

I have 296k on my rig... she is about due for a new block (old one is cracked.) I would try to get some better mpg's if I could afford a few extra dollars (not a primary vehicle currently).... IMHO....
