Just replaced the engine in my '99 Tahoe and I am noticing an audible vacuum or sucking sound in the cabin when radio and ventilation systems are off. Only when engine is running too. Seems to increase and decrease in tune with engine manifold vacuum situations. i.e. louder off throttle, goes away almost on-throttle. Audible at engine cut-off then dimishes in a few seconds. Disconnect and plug booster hose has no affect, spraying ether all around intake and throttle body and hoses has no affect (checking for leaks). It actually sounds like an old school Qjet with the air cleaner off for those who remember! What could this sound be?
