strange noise in cargo area

:confused2: My wife had me listen to her '04 HOE tonite bacause she heard this strange noise. This is coming from the right side panel of the cargo area, just behind the seat (this is not third row seating). It sounds like something is cycling. There is definately a rhythem to this noise, almost sounds like a windshield washer pump. I know that the pump is out front because I've worked on that already. Anyone have any ideas ??? Well........The weather warmed up yesterday and the noise went away. I didn't have a chance to investigate the noise so I have no idea what it was. Thanks ..Dave

The rear A/C is mounted behind the panel and above the wheel well on the passenger side of the vehicle. I hear similar noises when it is cold but only when the stereo is not on. Hopefully this is not an indication the rear unit is going bad...

A few week ago I noticed my rear heat was not working. I removed the panel and found the air control damper motor cycling (same noise) i removed it took it apart and found a glop of grease on the contacts cleaned with carb cleaner and reinstaled works good now Just another example of no quality control
