I was wondering since my Yukon didn't come with the steering wheel controls, could I add them?

Not sure if I can, but I don't see why not.

ya, you have to get the steering wheel, clock spring, and have the dealer program the computer to tell it you have steering wheel controls.

Its a pretty expensive project considering it was a 125.00 add-on from the dealer when the truck was originally purchased. My truck doesnt have them either. I actually bought a new wheel and was going to do it, but lost interest since im going to go to an aftermarket stereo anyway. So I sold it on eBay.

How much did the wheel cost you?

How much was the dealership going to charge you?

I paid 70.00 for the wheel and the buttons were kinda worn. The dealer was going to charge me an hour labor to flash the ecu - 85.00

The clock spring was the most expensive part. Not sure what the price was, but it was well over 100.00

then the hassle of installing the clock spring.

I have seen a few auctions since then that had the wheel with the clock spring included. you might want to keep an eye on ebay.
