Hello-

I've read acouple posts of starting issues...I'm having one with my 1996 Tahoe 5.7L vortec V8 engine. Basically the only way to get the truck started is to turn ignition key to on and off acouple times...try to start...cycle key again...and then my Tahoe will start. I recently had a tune up done...plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc... Just won't fire up? I'm getting frustrated:adr: I also was using starting fluid to get it started but have stopped...read somewhere else about the way I'm starting my truck now and it's been working?????/// But need some help for where the problem might be...so any help would be great!!!!!!!!

I also had the fuel filter replaced also and the battery is 2 monthes old....

This is a great website also!

Thanks J

Youve lost the prime. Most likely problem is your fuel pump. it is also possibly a injector problem as well.

You will need your fuel pressure and fuel volume checked as well as an injector leak down test.
