if the starter teeth were striped anyone know what i would have do to fix it. also would that effect the flywheel. Any info would be great

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Are you sure the starter teeth are stripped? Could be a bad bendix or weak solenoid or missing tooth on the flexplate.
To answer your question tho, you'd have to replace the starter.

...and the flywheel should get replaced as well! Any damaged teeth or even one broken tooth can damage the new starter!
