squeal!

my brakes are squealing bad even tho the pads are fine, also when i start it up when it rainy the belts squeal i guess due to slipping. is there anything i can do, none of my other cars did this. its not only annoying but its embarassing:mad2:

I would replace the belt. Sometimes older belts will form a "glaze" and start slipping when cold.
You can try a different brand of pads for the brakes. You're sure it's not the wear indicator causing the squealing?

its not the indicator, i had a shop check em out for me when i got my oil changed. all the belts are only about 6-7 months old

Yea
i have a 2000 tahoe, and it could just be condensation on the belts, i realized that was happening to me because in the spring in NC, its mild at nite and the truck is warm, and cold in the morning, hence condensation, and after a while the water just dries up and the noise goes away for me
