Power line needs to be shielded. Your picking up rf from the plug wires.

the noise u speak of sounds like electrical interference. the rca wires are most likely the cause. the red and white wires connecting your amp to your cd player are subject to picking up electrical interference from your ignition and other electronically controlled devices. u need to buy SHIELDED rca cables, yea they cost more but they dont hum/buzz

route the rca cables away from any power wires (namely your amp power) or ground wires. route power and ground on one side and rca on the other. this will help prevent any interference.

it could also be your ground to the amp as someone else mentioned.

well i changed the RCA wires and routed it on the other side.. the speakers are only making the noise when its at a low volume. its not so much a humm anymore, its like a buzz sort of sound.. I also saw that my RCA wires leading into the headunit were in the subwoofer spot.. so i changed that to the one on the top and still same thing.. would there be any chance that the 4 guage power cord is to much into 2 speakers and a ltitle amp?? i also have just audio speaker wiring going from the speakers to the amp, should i go out and get Car audio speaker wire or is there no difference.. idk.. help me out

the 4 gauge shouldn't affect it, i would go with that Ground Loop isolator, i have it in my truck and it works great, i also still have a bit of a hum, but its the rca cables that are pickin it up and i know what asound ur talkin about, ive just put up with it so far

If you haven't already tried the Ground Loop Isolator you should do that. If you have the next place you will pick up humming is the Alternater. When they go bad they will create a whining noise. Besure to find a good quality alternater though because you can one right off the shelf that whines just as bad. If it does exchange it until you get a good one. If that doesn't cover it, then it is just the brand of Amp. A lot of times the older and lesser brand amps just dont have the built sound processing to block out the humming or buzzing that the new ones have.
