I was looking at the door sticker and realized that my spare tire is not the same size as my other tires. My tires are 265/70/17 and my spare is 265/70/16 thats over an inch difference. All of our other vehicles have a full size spare. I thought they all came with a full size spare. :confused2::confused2:

Just be sure to run the spare on the front or your rear axle won't like you.

the whole point is that I should be able to put the spare on either axle not have to swap 2 tires to put the spare on. I'm driving long distances now and don't want to mess with it if I have a problem. I dont want to drive 500 miles on a tire that is a smaller diameter.

also I dont think its cost cutting since NNBS 07-08 have fullsize spares. Not sure if its because most Yukons came with 16 in wheels with that size tire?

I have a fullsize spare, 265/70/17 and it will be worthless once I upgrade the brakes. Drive to denver and you can have my spare, I have to find another 20 and buy another tire.

My 02 Z71 has the same setup and my 08 Yukon has the same size spare tire. My 05 Yukon is the only one that is different. I think they screwed up at the factory. Going to try to go talk to the dealer next week.
