Spare tire mounting help

I am new to Tahoes and this site. I have a 2007 Tahoe purchased used. The spare tire was in the rear and no owner's manual was left behind. I can get the mounting hardware to descend, but cannot firgure out how to attach it to the spare.

Can someone please guide me to a site that provides instructions on how this works? Perhaps there has already been a post on this that I could access.

All you have to do is slip the bracket up the cable and slip it through the center of the rim. Then crank the cable back up under the truck and it will lift the spare tire up into the spare tire location.
