Smoked Headlights/Tailights anyone do it DIY?

Just wondering if anyone on here has done it. I have seen two ways, Use stick on window tint(seems a little cheap to me) and the other way is to take the lights off and paint them from the insides with a special paint.

Im trying to figure out if there is a paint you can just buy at an auto store that is equivalent to the paint they say to use on the lights. Anyone know any easier ways?
