So, After coming back from my trip i found that my dad took it upon himself to clean my truck out for me. He did a wonderful job and i really appreciate it but...He seems to have wet down the drivers side carpet under the pedals a bit to much and it seems he did not suck the water out enough. Now its soaked down through into that underpadding.

No matter how much i suck water out with the shop vac it keeps coming and the floor soaks again. Just in that one area. I dont want this progressing and causing a smell in my truck. I had a fan on that one area for a day and it dried it out but it came back next day, Soaked again.

Should i take it upon myself to just pull the section of carpet and cut out the under padding?

What should i do guys, Thanks.

u could try removing the panels on the side and lifting that area of carpet and try to suck whats under the pad or leave ya truck running full blast heat to the floor

I don't suppose you have a small electric de-humidifier? I'd plug it in and sit it right in the drivers seat and run it overnight with the doors shut. Buddy has done that before and claimed it worked. Nothing worse than a truck with stank.
