I was thinging about upgrading my shocks for minor offroading. I use my Tahoe for pulling the my boat and running around on dirt roads. I was looking at Rancho 5000 from O'Reilly. Any suggest would be helpful, thanks.

Anything but rancho. They ride like crap. I like rough country cheapys as they rode nice and soft on a light ranger with 8 inches of lift. But for my Yukon I'm running sensa tracks. I like them.

Sensa tracks? Those are made for a car...if you really want the best it has to be bilsteins. I went with the rancho 9000xl because they can be adjusted from firm to soft and they had an awesome sale last month at sears. $180 installed for all 4.

If you want a horrible ride then go with rancho. I've been in a ton of trucks with them and even installed then cuz there cheap when I was building jeeps. And yes sensatracs were originally a car shock. But have came along way for trucks. I love the way our Yukon rides with stock size tires and does well out I. The bush for when we go hunting
