I'm going to take it into auto parts soon to get the code reading but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas why the light is on.

When I start it the Service engine Light stays on.

I recently cleaned the underbody with a small pressure house not to powerful at all. Could that have damaged any of the electrics? or any of the parts.

Also It has been sitting for about 2 weeks as we had no use for it I did however move it a few times while cleaning the underbody I did not see that light or Notice it if it was on.
The Oil Pressure also starts around 60ish than slowly moves down to just above 40. Is it an oil issue should I change it?

The Tahoe is a 2002 LT 4WD with 162k miles on it.

My light came on today as well. While trying to figure it out I read in the manual that if you splash through a puddle the service engine light may come on and stay on until everything dries. Just a thought but I'd definitely have the codes read just in case.

I have a 2000 4x4 with 5.3 and a 137K. I had the service engine soon light come on too. I took it to the dealer and they said that it would cost $500 to change the two sensors on the intake manifold. They had to take the top part of the motor apart to get to them. I then went to a trusted local mechanic. He asked if I had recently washed the engine, which I did. He said to drive it for a week or two to let the water dry off. If it still came on then I’d have to change the sensors out but his price was about 1/2. I drove it for two weeks, then disconnected the battery for overnight to reset the computer and haven’t had the light come on since. It’s been over three months now too.
