Just bought a 2002 Tahoe and need to put a center seat instead of the console. Is this possible without changing existing seats? It has power seats with the fold down arm rest.

first or second row, plus the center seat for the first row ONLY came in cloth, if you have leather and really need that middle seat to seat 9 people your gunna have to change the seats to cloth, at least up front. also as i recall its a 60/40 split, the driver is 40% and the pasenger is a bench to seat 3 people up there, the center seat is not seperate like the gmt 900 suvs.

ao i guess it can be done but im not sure how easily it can be done as the mounting under the console may be different too, and your gunna have to change atleast the pasenger seat.

Thanks for the reply RT. It's for the first row. My tahoe has cloth buckets up front so leather is not an issue. The first row, to seat three needs the 40 20 40 seat. What I have is the buckets that usually go with a center console and since mine doesn't have the center console I want to put a 20 seat in between the buckets instead.

I have these seats

And would like to put this seat in between them

Ah well if I have to seat a kid in the middle. I think a milk crate and bungee cord would be alot cheaper and less headache. :D
