Alright so as some of you have noticed i have recently installed my headunit and all my door speakers. So know im buying my subwoofers (2 Kicker 12" L7) and a amp (Hifonics Brutus 2006i) and i am need to run a 4 guage power cable through the firewall. I have breifly looked at it so far and i dont really see anyplace. If anyone has ran a cable already i would like to know where you are running yours through, i just want mine to go under the rear seats.

Most cars that do not have an existing unused grommet, I drill a hole to the left of the brake pedal, install the proper size rubber grommet, and run the wire through. If you do it this way, make sure to clear the brake booster and other parts on the other side. In the Tahoes, it is fairly simple to get under the dash and drill a hole. Make sure to use a proper sized rubber grommet to keep the wire from chafing against the metal and keep out water.

I'm running mine through an existing hole on the driver's side, under the steering wheel somewhere. I plan on taking pics tomorrow of my truck since I just cleaned it, and I'll see if I can post one on here of where I ran it.

I wouldn't use anything less than 1/0 for that amp I have the 2006d and it pulls so I'd up it. I ran my under the Hoe. Use 1 inch flexible conduit. I gotta take a pic one of these days.

Well if you're gonna make 4 runs of 1/0 I would imagine the entire rear would be covered by some form of large ported enclosure, easily hiding the holes you drilled for the wire ran under the truck. What the hell you gonna need that much cable for anyway? I had 2 runs of high grade telecom 2ga in the tahoe and it never dropped voltage or amperage even with the retarded 2000wrms I was running.

D@mn, I only used 2/0 when I had 5000w pushing eight 12"s. How much current are you expecting to draw? Only thing I've ever seen with that much cable was Alma Gates Kicker machine with four HO alts.
